Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Space(Painted In 1994) by Wang Huaiqing was sold in the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2019. It changed hands for a price of HKD 5,664,000.00 (€ 647,386.82) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 4,800,000.00 – 5,800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Huaiqing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Traces Of Nature – 4 (Triptych) (Painted In 2004) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 8,925,000.00 (€ 9,114,171.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Space(Painted In 1994) von Wang Huaiqing wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 5.664.000,00 (€ 647.386,82) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 4.800.000,00 – 5.800.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Huaiqing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Traces Of Nature – 4 (Triptych) (Painted In 2004) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 8.925.000,00 (€ 9.114.171,20).
