The work Green Apples by Wang Huaiqing was auctioned at Christies in New York in August this year. It achieved a price of HKD 75,600.00 (€ 8,892.89), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Huaiqing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Traces Of Nature – 4 (Triptych) (Painted In 2004) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 8,925,000.00 (€ 9,114,171.20).
