Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March this year Bonhams held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Gilette, 2006 by Wang Guangyi. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 600.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 637.50. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Guangyi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mao AO in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,036,000.00 (€ 2,923,829.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gilette, 2006 von Wang Guangyi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 600,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 637,50 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Guangyi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mao AO im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.036.000,00 (€ 2.923.829,97).
