Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Great Criticism Series - Channel V by Wang Guangyi was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November this year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 400,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 441,000.00 (€ 51,749.17). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Guangyi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mao AO in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,036,000.00 (€ 2,923,829.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Great Criticism Series - Channel V von Wang Guangyi kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 400.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 441.000,00 (€ 51.749,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Guangyi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mao AO im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.036.000,00 (€ 2.923.829,97).
