Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Loquat, 1936 by Wang Geyi was sold in the Chinese Works of Art Including The Richard Milhender Export Furniture Collection auction at Bonhams in New York in March last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,873.43). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Geyi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flower in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 401,200.00 (€ 48,888.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Loquat, 1936 von Wang Geyi wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Chinese Works of Art Including The Richard Milhender Export Furniture Collection bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.873,43) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Geyi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flower im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 401.200,00 (€ 48.888,90).
