Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Glorious Fruits by Wang Geyi was sold in the Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2018. The price achieved of HKD 29,500.00 (€ 3,112.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 15,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Geyi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flower in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 401,200.00 (€ 48,888.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Glorious Fruits von Wang Geyi wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 29.500,00 (€ 3.112,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 15.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Geyi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flower im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 401.200,00 (€ 48.888,90).
