Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2019 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Camellia by Wang Geyi. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 13,750.00 (€ 1,573.68). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Geyi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flower in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 401,200.00 (€ 48,888.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Camellia von Wang Geyi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 13.750,00 (€ 1.573,68) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Geyi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flower im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 401.200,00 (€ 48.888,90).
