Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wang Geyi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne in December 2020. In the Chinese Paintings auction, the work Calligraphy in Running Style sold for AUD 3,075.00 (€ 2,514.31) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Geyi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flower in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 401,200.00 (€ 48,888.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Geyi erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Style für AUD 3.075,00 (€ 2.514,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Geyi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flower im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 401.200,00 (€ 48.888,90).
