The work Mountainous Landscape by Wang Fu was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings auction at Christies in New York in March 2018. The »bidding war« ended at USD 552,500.00 (€ 448,457.79), 28% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Fu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Old Trees, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 12,036,000.00 (€ 1,324,703.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mountainous Landscape von Wang Fu wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 552.500,00 (€ 448.457,79) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Fu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Old Trees beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 12.036.000,00 (€ 1.324.703,98) versteigert wurde.
