Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape After Huang Gongwang by Wang Fu was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 100,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 106,250.00 (€ 12,503.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Fu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Old Trees in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 12,036,000.00 (€ 1,324,703.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape After Huang Gongwang von Wang Fu wurde im Oktober 2016 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 106.250,00 (€ 12.503,42) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Fu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Old Trees im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.036.000,00 (€ 1.324.703,98).
