Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Landscape by Wang Chen. The price achieved of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,934.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Chen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rivers Xiao and Xiang in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 3,725,000.00 (€ 432,031.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Wang Chen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.934,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Chen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rivers Xiao and Xiang im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.725.000,00 (€ 432.031,04).
