Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bamboo by Wang Chen was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2016. It changed hands for a price of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,336.89) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Chen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rivers Xiao and Xiang in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 3,725,000.00 (€ 432,031.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bamboo von Wang Chen wurde im September 2016 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.336,89) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Chen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rivers Xiao and Xiang im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.725.000,00 (€ 432.031,04).
