However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter William Ouless - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Charles Wigley Wicksted (1837-1906), Master of The Ludlow Foxhounds, Half-Length, In Hunting Dress, which sold at auction in October 2012 for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,729.97).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.646,90) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00.
