Here, the upper estimate of GBP 300.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 336.00 (€ 496.04). Admittedly, works by Walter William Ouless have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of Charles Wigley Wicksted (1837-1906), Master of The Ludlow Foxhounds, Half-Length, In Hunting Dress in October 2012 with an auction result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,729.97).

Die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman, half-length von Walter William Ouless kam im Mai 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 300,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 336,00 (€ 496,04) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Walter William Ouless auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of Charles Wigley Wicksted (1837-1906), Master of The Ludlow Foxhounds, Half-Length, In Hunting Dress im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.729,97).
