Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art, which included the work Hortensias by Walter Vaes. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,182.50 20% above the upper estimate. Other works by Walter Vaes have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of NLG 11,702.00 (€ 5,616.57) in October 2000 for the work A still life.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2004 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hortensias von Walter Vaes zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.182,50 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Walter Vaes haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von NLG 11.702,00 (€ 5.616,57) im Oktober 2000 für die Arbeit A still life beobachtet.
