Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2002 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction TWENTIETH CENTURY ART, which included the work Carnations in a glass vase by Walter Vaes. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,585.00 20% above the upper estimate. Other works by Walter Vaes have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of NLG 11,702.00 (€ 5,616.57) in October 2000 for the work A still life.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2002 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion TWENTIETH CENTURY ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Carnations in a glass vase von Walter Vaes zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.585,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Walter Vaes haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von NLG 11.702,00 (€ 5.616,57) im Oktober 2000 für die Arbeit A still life beobachtet.
