Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Attention! by Walter Harrowing was sold in the British and European Art auction at Bonhams in London in March 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,797.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Walter Harrowing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A springer spaniel resting in a landscape, which sold at auction in November 2018 for USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,636.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Attention! von Walter Harrowing wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion British and European Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.797,36) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Walter Harrowing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A springer spaniel resting in a landscape beobachtet, die im November 2018 für USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.636,58) versteigert wurde.
