Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work 'Puppets' by Walter Ernest Webster. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,785.00 (€ 2,093.28), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Ernest Webster achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Japanese Fan in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 33,460.00 (€ 48,132.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Puppets' von Walter Ernest Webster zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.785,00 (€ 2.093,28) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Ernest Webster erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Japanese Fan im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.460,00 (€ 48.132,03).
