Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Argus Road by Walter Emerson Baum was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,200.00 (€ 2,933.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walter Emerson Baum achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Pink House in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 73,000.00 (€ 49,700.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Argus Road von Walter Emerson Baum kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.200,00 (€ 2.933,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Walter Emerson Baum erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Pink House im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 73.000,00 (€ 49.700,44).
