Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On the way home by Bernard Walter Evans was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 537.75 (€ 804.96) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Walter Evans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Richmond, Yorkshire in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,574.81).

Die Arbeit On the way home von Bernard Walter Evans kam im März 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 537,75 (€ 804,96) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bernard Walter Evans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Richmond, Yorkshire im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.574,81).
