Auction result misses estimated price range
In September this year a collector was able to acquire the work U Stencil by Wade Guyton for GBP 3,276.00 (€ 3,276.00). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Edition at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wade Guyton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 5,989,000.00 (€ 4,390,762.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit U Stencil von Wade Guyton für GBP 3.276,00 (€ 3.276,00) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Edition bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wade Guyton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.989.000,00 (€ 4.390.762,46).
