Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Edinburgh From Near St Barnard'S Well by W. Wilson was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in April 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 796.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by W. Wilson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2002 the work Leaving harbour was auctioned for GBP 705.00 (€ 1,120.41).
