Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Vojtěch Kovařík achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May this year. In the Post-Millennium Evening Sale auction, the work Romeo sold for HKD 1,134,000.00 (€ 135,922.47) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vojtěch Kovařík - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Aphrodite, which sold at auction in May this year for USD 378,000.00 (€ 354,796.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Vojtěch Kovařík erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-Millennium Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Romeo für HKD 1.134.000,00 (€ 135.922,47) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Vojtěch Kovařík mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Aphrodite beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für USD 378.000,00 (€ 354.796,32) versteigert wurde.
