Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Escape Artists: The Non-Conformists Online, which included the work Leda And The Swan by Vladimir Ovchinnikov. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,030.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Vladimir Ovchinnikov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Before The Celebration, After The Celebration in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 43,200.00 (€ 64,042.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Escape Artists: The Non-Conformists Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Leda And The Swan von Vladimir Ovchinnikov zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.030,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vladimir Ovchinnikov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Before The Celebration, After The Celebration im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.200,00 (€ 64.042,45).
