Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours, which included the work In the souk by Vittorio Rappini. The price achieved of GBP 600.00 (€ 896.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vittorio Rappini - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Playing a tune in a harem; The carpet seller; and a bustling street, Cairo, which sold at auction in October 2008 for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,505.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit In the souk von Vittorio Rappini zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 600,00 (€ 896,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Vittorio Rappini mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Playing a tune in a harem; The carpet seller; and a bustling street, Cairo beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.505,26) versteigert wurde.
