Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2012 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Portrait of an artist, half-length, in a black vest and ruff with a red turban, before an easle, in a feigned oval by Vittore Ghislandi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 43,250.00 (€ 53,339.26) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Vittore Ghislandi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Young Man In A Green Tunic in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 325,250.00 (€ 373,273.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of an artist, half-length, in a black vest and ruff with a red turban, before an easle, in a feigned oval von Vittore Ghislandi zur Versteigerung kam.
