Despite a disappointment, a good price for Vítězslav Nezval
When the work Czech Idovský Hřbitov. Prague: Odeon, 1928 by Vítězslav Nezval was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,571.60). Despite this disappointing result, Czech Idovský Hřbitov. Prague: Odeon, 1928 is the most expensive artwork by Vítězslav Nezval that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Vítězslav Nezval
Als die Arbeit Czech Idovský Hřbitov. Prague: Odeon, 1928 von Vítězslav Nezval im November 2014 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.571,60) den Besitzer.
