Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Czech Abeceda. Taneční Komposice Milči Mayerové. Prague: J. Otto, 1926 by Vítězslav Nezval for GBP 938.00 (€ 1,179.32). This price was achieved in the auction Czech Avant-Garde Art from the Roy and Mary Cullen Collection at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Vítězslav Nezval have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2014 by the work Czech Idovský Hřbitov. Prague: Odeon, 1928 at GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,571.60).
