A top price for Velu Vishwanadhan - as previously expected
This work without title by Velu Vishwanadhan was sold in the Indian and Southeast Asian Art including 20th Century Indian auction at Christies in New York in September 2002. The price achieved of USD 6,572.50 (€ 6,653.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Velu Vishwanadhan that we have observed at auctions so far.
