Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Indian Art, which included this untitled work by Velu Vishwanadhan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,498.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Velu Vishwanadhan have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2002 the work without title was auctioned for USD 6,572.50 (€ 6,653.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Indian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Velu Vishwanadhan zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.498,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Velu Vishwanadhan konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2002 die Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 6.572,50 (€ 6.653,00) versteigert.
