Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Natura morta con pesci by Virgilio Guidi was auctioned at Christies in Milan in June last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 4,410.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Virgilio Guidi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nudo allo specchio in November 2021 with an auction result of EUR 93,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Natura morta con pesci von Virgilio Guidi im Juni letzten Jahres bei Christies in Mailand versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 4.410,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Virgilio Guidi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nudo allo specchio im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 93.750,00.
