A top price for Vincenzo Loria
In December 2005 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures, which included the work A game of cards; and Young and old by Vincenzo Loria. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,160.00 (€ 3,135.12). With this result, A game of cards; and Young and old is even the most expensive work of art by Vincenzo Loria that we have observed at auctions so far.
