Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Il Vecchio al cassetone by Vincenzo Caprile was auctioned at Christies in New York in October 2006. The price achieved of USD 42,000.00 (€ 32,881.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vincenzo Caprile - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mercato di Pasqua a Napoli, which sold at auction in November 2002 for EUR 130,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Il Vecchio al cassetone von Vincenzo Caprile kam im Oktober 2006 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 42.000,00 (€ 32.881,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Vincenzo Caprile mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mercato di Pasqua a Napoli beobachtet, die im November 2002 für EUR 130.200,00 versteigert wurde.
