Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Russian nursery In The Harem by Vincent G. Stiepevich. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,861.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Vincent G. Stiepevich have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Russian In The Harem in November 2008 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 45,038.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Russian nursery In The Harem von Vincent G. Stiepevich zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.861,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vincent G. Stiepevich auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Russian In The Harem im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 45.038,05).
