Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Russian in The Harem by Vincent G. Stiepevich. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,299.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Vincent G. Stiepevich have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2008 the work Russian In The Harem was auctioned for GBP 37,250.00 (€ 45,038.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Russian in The Harem von Vincent G. Stiepevich zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.299,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Vincent G. Stiepevich konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2008 die Arbeit Russian In The Harem für GBP 37.250,00 (€ 45.038,05) versteigert.
