Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Vincent Corpet was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in March last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 756.00. Admittedly, works by Vincent Corpet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 3065 P 28, 30 X 02 H/T 132 X 200 - 2002 in March 2021 with an auction result of EUR 6,240.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Vincent Corpet im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 756,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vincent Corpet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 3065 P 28, 30 X 02 H/T 132 X 200 - 2002 im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.240,00.
