A top price for Vincent Butler
In October 2020 Bonhams in Edinburgh held the auction The Scottish Sale, which included the work a cold cast bronze sculpture of William Wallace by Vincent Butler. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 510.00 (€ 566.31), 70% above the upper estimate. This high result makes a cold cast bronze sculpture of William Wallace the most expensive artwork by Vincent Butler that we have observed at auctions so far.
