In December 2002 Christies in London held the auction Important Gold Boxes, Objects of Vertu and Portrait, which included the work A young lady, facing right in blue dress with white fichu, thin black ribbon necklace, white bonnet with ribbons in her curling brown hair; together with a young gentleman, facing left in black coat, white waistcoat and tied cravat, wearing a miniatu by Vincent Bertrand. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 896.25 (€ 1,375.79), 49% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Vincent Bertrand - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Fine Miniature of A Young Lady In Ermine-Bordered Ochre-Coloured Coat Tied At Waist With Thin Ribbon, Short Curling Auburn Hair, which sold at auction in July 2005 for GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,221.77).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 896,25 (€ 1.375,79) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
