Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,287.50 (€ 9,818.45). Admittedly, works by Vilhelm Melbye have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Spanish felucca, British warships and other shipping in the Mediterranean off Gibraltar in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 43,250.00 (€ 53,887.60).

Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.287,50 (€ 9.818,45) einen neuen Besitzer.
