Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Trees Near Gundsømagle, Roskilde by Vilhelm Hammershøi was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 189,000.00 (€ 225,699.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vilhelm Hammershøi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stue (Interior with an Oval Mirror) in May last year with an auction result of USD 6,300,000.00 (€ 5,870,841.49).

Die Arbeit Trees Near Gundsømagle, Roskilde von Vilhelm Hammershøi kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 189.000,00 (€ 225.699,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vilhelm Hammershøi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Stue (Interior with an Oval Mirror) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.300.000,00 (€ 5.870.841,49).
