Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Danish interior, Strandgade 30 by Vilhelm Hammershøi was sold in the 19th Century European Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in December 2018. The price achieved of GBP 454,000.00 (€ 505,796.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vilhelm Hammershøi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Stue (Interior with an Oval Mirror) in May last year with an auction result of USD 6,300,000.00 (€ 5,870,841.49).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Danish interior, Strandgade 30 von Vilhelm Hammershøi wurde im Dezember 2018 in der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 454.000,00 (€ 505.796,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vilhelm Hammershøi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Stue (Interior with an Oval Mirror) im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.300.000,00 (€ 5.870.841,49).
