Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Landscape with heather, in the background Rørvig Church by Vilhelm Groth was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 2,500.00 (€ 334.97). Admittedly, works by Vilhelm Groth have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A summerday on Fænø with children playing by the sea in March this year with an auction result of DKK 11,000.00 (€ 1,476.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Landscape with heather, in the background Rørvig Church von Vilhelm Groth im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 2.500,00 (€ 334,97) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vilhelm Groth auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A summerday on Fænø with children playing by the sea im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 11.000,00 (€ 1.476,18).
