Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work Seascape with sailingships and a tugboat by Vilhelm Victor Bille was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in August this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously set the estimate at DKK 6,000.00, but this failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 2,000.00 (€ 268.29). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vilhelm Victor Bille achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A sailing boat in a gathering storm, a frigate and other boats beyond in January 2007 with an auction result of GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,707.36).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit Seascape with sailingships and a tugboat von Vilhelm Victor Bille im August diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit DKK 6.000,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung leider nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 2.000,00 (€ 268,29) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vilhelm Victor Bille erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A sailing boat in a gathering storm, a frigate and other boats beyond im Januar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.120,00 (€ 4.707,36).
