This artwork by Victor Vasarely achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in May 2008. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Cube sold for EUR 6,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Vasarely achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Altaï Iii in February 2010 with an auction result of GBP 565,250.00 (€ 630,588.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Victor Vasarely erzielte im Mai 2008 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Cube für EUR 6.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Vasarely erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Altaï Iii im Februar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 565.250,00 (€ 630.588,93).
