Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On The Stairs by Victor Reinganum was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,659.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Victor Reinganum - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Diagram Vi, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,346.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit On The Stairs von Victor Reinganum kam im Oktober 2013 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.659,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Victor Reinganum mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Diagram Vi beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.346,11) versteigert wurde.
