Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Gitana by Victor Manuel. The price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 18,910.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Victor Manuel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Carnaval (Escena de comparsa) in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 319,500.00 (€ 302,041.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gitana von Victor Manuel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 18.910,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Victor Manuel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Carnaval (Escena de comparsa) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 319.500,00 (€ 302.041,97).
