The work Head 3 by Victor Ekpuk was sold in the Art Moderne & Contemporain Africain auction at Bonhams in Paris in November last year. It achieved a price of EUR 8,287.50 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Victor Ekpuk - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Children of the Full Moon, which sold at auction in October last year for GBP 19,125.00 (€ 22,280.41).

Die Arbeit Head 3 von Victor Ekpuk wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Art Moderne & Contemporain Africain bei Bonhams in Paris versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 8.287,50 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Victor Ekpuk mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Children of the Full Moon beobachtet, die im Oktober letzten Jahres für GBP 19.125,00 (€ 22.280,41) versteigert wurde.
