Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Piazza della Signoria by Victor Coverley-Price was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2002. The price achieved of GBP 587.50 (€ 965.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Victor Coverley-Price - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Heart of the City; the Royal Exchange, which sold at auction in May 2002 for GBP 2,091.25 (€ 3,274.93).
