Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2005 Christies in London held the auction Travel and Natural History, which included the work The Matterhorn seen from the summit of Monte Rosa at Dawn by Victor Coverley-Price. The price achieved of GBP 480.00 (€ 704.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Victor Coverley-Price have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Heart of the City; the Royal Exchange in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 2,091.25 (€ 3,274.93).
