Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Vicente do Rego Monteiro was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2005. It changed hands for a price of USD 9,600.00 (€ 8,142.49) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Vicente do Rego Monteiro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 74,500.00 (€ 60,231.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Vicente do Rego Monteiro kam im November 2005 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 9.600,00 (€ 8.142,49) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Vicente do Rego Monteiro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 74.500,00 (€ 60.231,22).
